Ghandruk is the popular trekking trail in the Annapurna region which goes towards the naturally embodied village of Ghandruk in western Nepal. Ghandruk is a beautiful village with Gurung settlement which offers the spectacular views of Annapurna South, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre Himal. Ghandruk Loop Trek is ideal for all kind of trekkers as it offers an easy trekking trail with no difficult climbing or ascents to high altitude. Ghandruk Loop Trek further entices you with rich Gurung culture and tradition of people living in this exotic place.

Itinerary:

Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu

After your arrival at the airport in Kathmandu you will be greeted one of our representatives who will later transfer you to the hotel. After hotel check in you can decide whether you would like to have a relaxing rest at the hotel or hang around the streets of Kathmandu (If you have leisure time). You will be briefed about our next day’s travel plan our company representative. O/N you stay at the hotel.

Day 02 : Kathmandu to Pokhara (6 Hour’s drive)

We are all set to set off to the magical city of Pokhara today. We will either board a flight or drive to Pokhara in a private vehicle. The flight to Pokhara offers a great view of Himalayan range and mystical landscape of Nepal. If we drive to Pokhara we will have a great opportunity to discover the beautiful rivers, green forests, hills and magnificent Himalayas. It will take us approximately five hours to reach Pokhara a private vehicle. Upon reaching Pokhara our representative will escort you to the hotel where you stay for the night.

Day 03 : Pokhara to Ghandruk (1540m)

Our trekking expedition begins today. We leave Pokhara early in the morning and catch a bus or a private vehicle that will drive us to Nayapul or Phedi. From Phedi we take the trail that steeply ascends up the hill to reach Dhampus. On the way we enjoy the magnetic views of Annapurna range and Mount Manaslu along with other Himalayas. It will take us approximately five hours to reach the wonderful village of Ghandruk. We will pay our visit to the old Gurung museum in Ghandruk. Ghandruk offers a great view of Annapurna south, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre Himal. Overnight, we stay at a guest house in Ghandruk.

Day 04 : Ghandruk to Pothana (2870m)

Today we will be trekking to reach Pothana. We wake up in the morning and spend some time in Ghandruk enjoying the magical views of ever glowing Himalayas with the first ray of the sun. We will spend some time capturing the magical moments in our cameras. We will later descend down to Modi Khola and start climbing up to reach the village of Landruk. The trail then passes through the paddy fields and reached Deurali. Trekking further we will reach Pothana where we stay overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 05 : Pothana to Pokhara

We wake in the morning and spend some time in Pothana. Pothana is situated on the ridge and it offers spectacular views of Annapurna Massif, Mt. Fishtail along with other Himalayas. We will then start our trekking adventure to reach Phedi. It will take us approximately three hours to reach Phedi from Pothana. On the way we will be greeted the superb view of lush forests and beautiful Himalayas. From Phedi we will catch a private vehicle that will drive us to Pokhara. Upon reaching Pokhara you may choose to walk around the lakeside or spend couple of time buying token of love to your loved ones. Overnight, we stay at a hotel in Pokhara.

Day 06 : Pokhara to Kathmandu

We will drive back to Kathmandu on a private vehicle today. Driving back to Kathmandu is a great fun as it offers wonderful views of beautiful rivers, landscapes and traditional villages on our way back. Upon reaching Kathmandu we will organize a farewell dinner at an authentic Nepali restaurant. The traditional dances and cultural shows at the restaurants would be a great opportunity to understand the Nepali culture and tradition. After the dinner we will get back to the hotel for the overnight stay.

Day 07 : Final Departure

Your Ghandruk Loop Trek terminates today. We hope you enjoyed your trek in Nepal. Our representative escorts you to the airport approximately three hours before your flight schedule. Have a safe flight back home!
